15 social initiatives completed over 10 years, achievement of public-private collaboration in Yakutsk

In the heart of Siberia, Yakutsk, the world's coldest city, has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past decade, thanks to a series of public-private partnerships (PPPs) that have brought about the construction of numerous social facilities.

One such partnership, primarily implemented through agreements with LLC "Gazenergoremontazh", has resulted in the commissioning of twelve facilities between 2018 and 2019. These facilities, which include schools, kindergartens, cultural centres, and the Children's School of Arts, have become iconic symbols of education and culture in Yakutsk.

The Children's Creativity Centre, the National School "Aıyıı Kıhata", and the Yuri Gagarin Contemporary Art and Culture Centre are just a few examples of these modern institutions that now form an integral part of Yakutsk's infrastructure. These facilities have not only contributed to the city's growth but have also provided everything necessary for the education and upbringing of Yakutsk's young citizens.

While the current notable PPP in Yakutsk is the Lena River bridge project led by VIS Group and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), there is no publicly available information on LLC "Gazenergoremontazh" participating in PPPs for social facilities construction in Yakutsk.

Despite this, the effectiveness of these partnerships is evident in the city's growth and development. Over the past decade, Yakutsk has seen the construction of the most social facilities in the post-Soviet era, including modern educational institutions, sports facilities, and playgrounds.

As the payments under the agreements with LLC "Gazenergoremontazh" for all 12 facilities in Yakutsk are set to be completed next year, it marks the final stage of their construction. These facilities have undoubtedly become an integral part of Yakutsk, shaping its modern landscape and providing a solid foundation for the city's future.
