Morgan Panzirer, a 20-year-old sophomore at Villanova University, has published her first book, 'Actually, I Can: Growing Up with Type 1 Diabetes, A Story of Unexpected Empowerment'. The book aims to inspire children, families, and others to view T1D as an opportunity rather than an obstacle. Panzirer, diagnosed with T1D at age 6, shares her journey and insights in her new publication.

In her book, Panzirer discusses her experiences with T1D, including managing her blood sugar levels, which allows her to enjoy sugar like anyone else. She also shares her struggles with hypothyroidism and her advocacy efforts with JDRF. Panzirer's goal is to become a pediatric endocrinologist to help other families navigate the challenges of diabetes.

Panzirer's book was published by Rowman & Littlefield in June 2020. It covers her experiences with travel, insulin pumps, and coping with the emotional toll of diabetes. To celebrate its release, a giveaway was held from July 10 to July 17, 2020, with Sandra Volling announced as the winner on July 20, 2020.

Panzirer's family has a long history of involvement in T1D research and advocacy. Her father heads the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, which has donated over $1 billion to T1D initiatives. Panzirer's sister Caroline was also diagnosed with T1D as a teenager in 2017.

Morgan Panzirer's book, 'Actually, I Can', offers a positive perspective on living with type 1 diabetes. Through her personal experiences and insights, she aims to empower others to view T1D as an opportunity for growth and resilience. The book is available for purchase, with a giveaway winner already announced. Panzirer's dedication to T1D advocacy and her goal to become a pediatric endocrinologist highlight her commitment to helping others navigate their diabetes journey.
