The THRIVE Global Impact Challenge, a global initiative aimed at identifying the most innovative enterprises working towards a more sustainable future for agriculture, is now inviting applications from African agri-food startups.
This year's challenge focuses on five primary themes, although the specifics of these themes are not publicly disclosed. The goal of the challenge is to help fund the transition towards a net-zero agricultural future.
The application deadline for the THRIVE Global Impact Challenge is July 12. Selected startups could receive investment up to USD 1 million, a place in THRIVE's award-winning Global Accelerator Programme, and investment opportunities from SVG Ventures.
The winning company will be awarded the THRIVE Global Impact Challenge Award and will have the opportunity to pitch live at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit in Silicon Valley. The summit will host the announcement of the overall winner, which will take place on November 7.
Finalists of the THRIVE Global Impact Challenge will also receive two complimentary tickets to attend the THRIVE Global Impact Summit and pre-summit networking reception.
African companies engaged in innovation and sustainability are encouraged to participate. Eligibility criteria typically focus on startups and companies developing impactful technologies or solutions, but detailed country-specific requirements should be checked on the official THRIVE challenge website or announcements.
