Aspiring Specialist Lands Position at ICAR-NIPB in New Delhi

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has announced two vacancies for the position of Young Professional-II at the ICAR-National Institute for Plant Biotechnology (NIPB) in New Delhi. The work involves research in genomics and bioinformatics under ICAR-funded projects.

**Job Requirements**

The essential qualification for the position is a Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or Allied Sciences with a 1st Division or 60% marks. Candidates with hands-on experience in genomics and bioinformatics analysis are desirable. The age limit for the position is minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years, with relaxation as per ICAR guidelines.

The two projects under which the work will be carried out are the ICAR-Network Project on Translational Genomics in Crop Plants and ICAR-CRPG: Decoding the genomes of guar and black gram for identification of important genes. The position has a tenure of one year from the date of appointment or project termination (whichever is earlier), and may be extended based on requirement and performance.

**Application Process**

Candidates can attend a walk-in interview at LBS Building, Pusa Campus, ICAR-NIPB, New Delhi - 110012 at 9:30 AM on 08 July 2025. Candidates are required to bring two hard copies of the filled-in application form, two self-attested sets of all relevant documents, and originals for verification.

Incomplete applications or those without proper documentation will be rejected. Concealment of facts or canvassing will lead to disqualification. Only candidates possessing essential qualifications will be considered for the shortlisting process.

**Important Information**

The Director, ICAR-NIPB reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The legal jurisdiction lies with the New Delhi Court only. The monthly remuneration for the position is Rs. 42,000/- consolidated.
