ASQA Upholds Cancellation of DSA Ventures' Registration for Issuing Fraudulent Qualifications
The Administrative Review Tribunal has upheld ASQA's decision to cancel the registration of DSA Ventures, a provider found guilty of issuing over 1,500 fraudulent qualifications. ASQA CEO Saxon Rice welcomed the ruling, stating it reinforces the agency's commitment to safeguarding students and the industry.
DSA Ventures, which was not CRICOS-registered, had no international students enrolled. The provider's appeal was dismissed after it failed to pursue a review or comply with Tribunal directions. At the time of registration, the ASQA-registered subsidiary of DSA Ventures was operating under the name Australian Academy of Elite Education.
ASQA has taken strong action against non-compliant providers this year. In 2025, the agency has deregistered 10 critically non-compliant RTOs and cancelled over 25,500 fraudulent qualifications. None of these cancellations impacted international students.
The cancellation of DSA Ventures' registration and the cancellation of its fraudulent qualifications serve as a reminder of ASQA's commitment to maintaining high standards in the education sector. The agency continues to monitor and take action against non-compliant providers to protect both local and international students.
