BNE Festival NRW 2025: Connecting Local Action to Global Challenges
The BNE Festival NRW 2025, themed 'Local. Global. BNE.', is set to take place at the Volkshochschule Hamm on October 9 and 10, 2025. This free event, organized by the Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Stiftung 'Environment and Development North Rhine-Westphalia', aims to connect global challenges with local action for sustainable development.
The festival will bring together educators and interested parties to exchange ideas and discuss BNE approaches. It will feature a range of formats, including lectures, discussions, and participatory sessions, all focused on education for sustainable development.
One of the key tools to be presented is the 'SDG Check'. This innovative tool evaluates local projects using the Sustainable Development Goals as indicators. Katja Möltgen will introduce this tool on the first day of the event. Registrations for the festival are open until October 5, 2025.
