Bolstering its media sector, Dubai forges strategic agreements for the Content Creators Programme
Dubai Content Creators Programme Expands and Strengthens Partnerships
The Dubai Content Creators Programme, also known as Creators HQ, is expanding its reach and support for digital content creators. Launched in January 2025, the programme offers a comprehensive ecosystem providing physical and digital workspaces, training, mentorship, and administrative assistance to over 2,400 creators.
In its next phase, the programme aims to grow its membership to 10,000 creators and support startups and entrepreneurs through initiatives like the Content Creators Accelerator Program. This programme provides seed funding, mentorship, and investment pitching opportunities, aligning with broader strategic efforts such as the US$40 million Content Creators Fund and the Dh50 million Creatives Ventures Program.
Recently, the programme has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with five key strategic partners. These MoUs were signed by Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai. The MoUs cover five core content tracks: Economic Content, Cultural Content, Community Content, Health & Scientific Content, and Sports Content.
Sheikh Ahmed emphasized the importance of empowering youth in the digital media space to drive sector development and reflect Dubai's unique growth model. Mona Al Marri thanked the partners for supporting Dubai's vision to become a global media hub and noted the success of the programme's initial phase focused on economic content.
The Dubai Press Club's involvement in these MoUs likely aims to leverage its media network and expertise to elevate the programme's visibility and effectiveness across regional and global audiences. The partners include Helal Al Marri (Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism), Hala Badri (Dubai Culture and Arts Authority), Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi (Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department), Dr. Amer Sharif (Dubai Health), and Khalfan Belhoul (Dubai Sports Council).
While the specific MoUs within the Content Creators Programme framework were not detailed, related partnership patterns in Dubai emphasize collaboration to support startups, develop local talent, share insights, simplify regulatory compliance, and co-develop research to strengthen Dubai’s role as a global innovation hub in digital content and virtual assets.
In summary, the Dubai Content Creators Programme is expanding its creator base, enhancing funding and mentorship, incubating startups, and strengthening strategic partnerships through MoUs (including those involving the Dubai Press Club) to foster a comprehensive ecosystem for content creation and economy leadership.
