Bamberg Says Farewell to Beloved Music Garden Instructor Susanne Strohschneider

After a quarter of a century at the Bamberg City Adult Education Centre, Susanne Strohschneider is retiring from her role as Music Garden instructor. Her departure will be felt deeply by the Bamberg community, as her educational work has had a significant impact on the lives of many children and families.

Susanne's Music Garden courses have been a beloved staple in Bamberg, fostering a sense of community and connection among families. Over 1,800 children and their families have attended these courses, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Martina Gut, program area leader, expressed her gratitude for the collaborative work with Susanne, praising her dedication and passion for music education. "Susanne has been instrumental in introducing music to these children and their families, and her legacy will continue to be felt in our community," said Gut.

The vhs Bamberg City is saying goodbye to Susanne with a mix of laughter and tears. The new teachers continuing the Musikgarten and Musikspiel courses at VHS Bamberg City are Katharina Küffner, Anna-Lena Hartl, and Laura Müller. These new course leaders will continue the popular Music Garden courses in the spirit of music, community, and joy that Susanne instilled in her students.

Dr. Anna Scherbaum, vhs director, celebrated Susanne's retirement at a farewell event, praising her work and commitment to the Music Garden. "Susanne's dedication ensured that the Music Garden legacy will continue, and we are grateful for her many years of service to our community," said Scherbaum.

Many families in Bamberg have attended the vhs in the Old E-Werk for multiple generations due to Susanne's educational work. She is well-known in Bamberg, often recognized by children, parents, and adults alike. Susanne's impact on the community is deeply felt, and her retirement is being celebrated by the vhs Bamberg City.
