Embark College Announces New Initiatives to Boost Entrepreneurship and Employment in Nepal

Embark College, a leading institution in international business education located in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, Nepal, has unveiled two new programs aimed at transforming innovation into sustainable businesses and ensuring employment for students and graduates.

The first initiative, the Practical Skills Training (Apprenticeship) Program, is designed to help industries secure skilled human resources while guiding students towards a guaranteed career path. This program requires a skills assessment, certified academic and skill-based documents from Embark College, and a structured professional evaluation through interviews. The Apprenticeship Program features a pre-structured framework, professional counseling, regular evaluations, and long-term partnership agreements with leading and emerging industries and enterprises in Nepal.

The second initiative, the Startup Capacity Development Program, provides direct support to innovative enterprises. This program aligns with the National Startup Policy 2080 and the Industrial Enterprise Act 2076 of the Government of Nepal, focusing on innovation-driven businesses, scalable ventures, and startups with significant market impact. To be eligible, businesses must be legally registered, operating for less than 10 years, and have an annual turnover of less than NPR 150 million.

The Startup Program requires a legal registration certificate and financial statements, a business plan demonstrating innovation, and a due diligence review. Its objectives include reducing import dependency, fostering domestic innovation, and strengthening technological capacity.

In a statement, Embark College's CEO, Ashish Thakur, said that these programs are aimed at developing future business leaders, ensuring employment, and promoting entrepreneurship in the country. The college's core mission is to produce business leaders who drive Nepal's economic growth and innovation.

Currently, there are no search results indicating which companies in Nepal have partnered with Embark College for the Apprenticeship Program. However, with the Apprenticeship Program's goal of providing skilled workforce for industries and assuring employment for students, it is expected to contribute to building a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in line with government policies.

In addition to the Apprenticeship Program and the Startup Capacity Development Program, Embark College offers a range of business programs, including BSc Business Management, MBA, and ACCA. These programs are expected to further equip students and graduates with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to Nepal's growing economy.
