Dabbling in artistic expression through concretes
In the school year 2024/25, a group of twelve female students from Reuchlin-Gymnasium in Ingolstadt embarked on an exciting project. Working in collaboration with the Museum of Concrete Art (MKK), they developed a digital scavenger hunt called "New Digital Rally" for the MKKD app.
The New Digital Rally is a unique and engaging way for youth to explore the public spaces of Ingolstadt while learning about Concrete Art. The digital rally starts at the current location of the museum and ends at the future Museum of Concrete Art and Design (MKKD). Along the way, participants will encounter works of Concrete Art, including pieces by Alf Lechner.
The digital rally is designed to be playful and interactive, featuring puzzles, tasks, and creative challenges. It guides users through various locations in Ingolstadt, such as Tränktorstraße, Konrad-Adenauer-Bridge, Klenzepark, and Donausteg. The contents on the MKKD app are free of charge, making this digital scavenger hunt accessible to all.
The development of the MKKD app was made possible through the project "fabulAPP - Building blocks for digital storytelling in the museum" of the Bavarian State Office for Non-State Museums, with support from the Bavarian Sparkassen Foundation. The app already contains contents like a virtual "play with color", videos on restoration, and current information about the construction site.
The New Digital Rally is more than just a digital scavenger hunt; it's an opportunity for students to gain insights into art mediation, from idea finding to technical implementation. Art teacher Theresa Hajduk guided the students throughout the project.
Now available via the museum app MKKD, the New Digital Rally is an exciting addition to the digital interim program. It's a fun and interactive way for youth to engage with Concrete Art and explore the city of Ingolstadt. Whether you're a local or a visitor, the New Digital Rally offers a unique and engaging way to discover the art of Concrete.
While direct search results about a Concrete Art scavenger hunt in the MKKD app were not found, the MKKD app appears to be a platform that could host such activities. For authoritative details, it's recommended to check the official MKKD app website or social media channels related to youth digital events or concrete art initiatives.
