Educating educators and trainers in the realm of education and Instructional Development
On Wednesday, April 24, from 2:30 to 4:30 PM, School Psychologist Daniela Lenardon will be hosting a free yoga workshop at the Medienzentrum Rhein-Kreis Neuss (Bahnhofstraße 14, 41472 Neuss-Holzheim). The event, which is limited in participants, will focus on the neuropsychological aspects of yoga practice and how it can help improve self-confidence and concentration.
Lenardon's presentation will delve into the scientific research and findings about the brain and yoga, offering a unique perspective on the benefits of yoga for cognitive functions. Participants can expect to learn about the parts of the brain that are activated during regular yoga practice, as well as the yoga exercises that are believed to strengthen self-confidence and concentration.
The workshop will begin with a practical introduction led by Yoga Instructor Wiebke Schäkel, who will demonstrate individual yoga exercises focusing on breath awareness, seated meditation, balance poses, core strengthening poses, and more. Lenardon will then address which yoga exercises are thought to improve concentration and boost self-confidence, while avoiding discussions on the physical benefits of yoga.
Participants are welcome to bring their own mats to the event, and registration is required by Wednesday, April 17, at 12 PM, under the phone number 0 21 31/ 928 40 70. The registration deadline is approaching quickly, so those interested in attending are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.
With yoga practices such as breath awareness, meditation, and poses focusing on balance and core strength, this workshop aims to help participants gain a better understanding of how yoga can effectively boost self-confidence and concentration by activating brain regions involved in attention, emotional regulation, and body awareness. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn more about the mental benefits of yoga and how it can help improve your focus and mental clarity.
