Expanded, productive day dedicated to teaching resuscitation skills achieves success
The city and district of Aschaffenburg recently hosted the fourth edition of the Aktionstag der Reanimation (Resuscitation Action Day), organised by the Gesundheitsregionplus working group "Reanimation". This event, which took place on July 5, 2025, was a joint effort aimed at reaching more people and lowering the threshold for helping in an emergency to save lives.
The action day, which received great response, took place at 36 locations in 22 municipalities and the independent city. Over 1,000 interested parties, including children and young people, participated in the event.
Around 280 helpers ensured the successful implementation of the event. Fire departments, Red Cross, Maltese Aid Service, Johanniter, IMS rescue service, AED saves lives association, TH Aschaffenburg, and the clinic Aschaffenburg-Alzenau participated in the event.
District Administrator Dr. Alexander Legler emphasised the success of the event, stating that it significantly contributes to the safety and well-being of the citizens. The Landrat Dr. Alexander Legler, Mayor Friedrich Fleckenstein, and other representatives of the participating organisations were present at the action day.
The event was exemplified in Laufach as one of many venues. The topic of resuscitation was permanently anchored in the consciousness of the population.
The organisers aim to continue this initiative, with the next action day planned for July 4, 2026. However, the city hosting the event next year is not yet confirmed.
