The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has announced an extension for the registration deadline of the West Bengal NEET UG Counselling Round 1, which is now open until August 12, 2025. This extension follows the initial schedule announced at the end of July and early August.
Revised Schedule for West Bengal NEET UG Counselling Round 1
The updated schedule for the West Bengal NEET UG Counselling Round 1 in 2025 now accommodates a new deadline for online registration and fee payment, extended till August 12, 2025. Key dates in the revised schedule are as follows:
- Online Registration & Fee Payment: Till August 12, 2025
- Publication of Verified Candidate List & Seat Matrix: August 14, 2025 (after 3 PM)
- Online Choice Filling & Locking: August 14 to August 17, 2025
- Publication of Results: August 20, 2025
- Reporting and Admission at Allotted Institutes: August 21 to August 23, 2025
Candidates for private medical and dental colleges have specific reporting centers as per the revised instructions. The entire revised schedule accommodates State Quota, Private Management Quota, and NRI Quota seats.
Eligibility Criteria and Document Requirements
To be eligible for WBMCC NEET 2025 counselling, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Pass Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually in their 10+2 examination.
- Possess a domicile certificate of West Bengal. Candidates can choose from Proforma a1, a2, or b.
- For Proforma a2, candidates must have resided in West Bengal for at least ten years, as stipulated by MCC regulations, and have passed their Class 12 examination in 2025 or an earlier year.
- For Proforma b, candidates whose parents are permanent residents of West Bengal, with a permanent address in the state, are eligible, even if the candidates themselves do not reside in West Bengal.
During the registration process, candidates must submit the following documents:
- NEET Admit Card 2025
- Recent passport-sized photographs (6-8)
- Class 10 mark sheet
- Class 12 mark sheet
- NEET result 2025
- Valid photo ID proof (Voter ID, Aadhaar card, Passport, Driving license)
- Domicile certificate (a1, a2, or b)
- Caste/Category certificate
- Medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner (if applicable)
- Disability certificate issued by the medical board of IPGMER Kolkata (if applicable)
- A final verification slip generated after the verification of the document
Counselling for Management Quota and Subsequent Rounds
For Management quota in West Bengal NEET Counselling 2025, no domicile certificate is required, and candidates from any state can apply.
Subsequent rounds are planned as follows:
- Round 2: August 27, 2025
- Round 3: September 15, 2025
- Online stray vacancy round: October 2, 2025

Candidate Verification
Candidate verification for the West Bengal NEET counselling will take place from August 1 to 4, 2025.
