On Friday, June 21, 2024, at 4 pm, the city of Pforzheim invites chocolate enthusiasts to embark on an enlightening journey with the "On the Trail of Fair Chocolate" interactive tour. This unique event, taking place in the heart of Pforzheim, is a collaborative effort between the city, the University of Pforzheim, the Pforzheim World Shop, the Youth Council of Pforzheim, Q-Prints & Service, the Municipal Cinema, and Oikocredit.
The tour, designed to educate participants about fair trade practices in the chocolate industry, will consist of five stations where attendees will delve into various aspects of the world of cocoa. From discussions on global justice to exploring questions about cocoa production, the role of women, child labor, climate change, stock market prices, seals, and personal finances, the tour promises to be an immersive and thought-provoking experience.
The tour commences in front of the city library and will last for two hours, concluding with a tasting session at the Pforzheim World Shop, where participants can sample a variety of ethically produced chocolate products.
