Federal initiative "PolitZavod" concludes in Nizhny Novgorod for its final round
In the heart of Russia, Nizhny Novgorod played host to the regional stage of the "Debates" nomination for the federal project "PolitFactory". This initiative, aimed at developing political competencies among young people, fosters education, training, and engagement in political processes, leadership, and civic activities.
The competition, known as "CTD" or "What's up with the debates?", took place at the "KUPNO. Start" platform. Young participants from across Nizhny Novgorod demonstrated their skills in argumentation, public speaking, and political awareness, creating a friendly atmosphere where each participant found new arguments, reasons, and examples during the debates.
The expert jury included Dmitry Filippov, head of the regional executive committee of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of United Russia, Alexei Antonov, deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region and head of the United Russia faction in the Legislative Assembly, Roman Zykov, leader of the regional branch of "Young Guard of United Russia" in the Nizhny Novgorod region and a veteran of the SVO, and Alexander Amealin, head of the Central Staff of the All-Russian Public Organization "Young Guard of United Russia", a veteran of the SVO and a recipient of the Order of Courage.
All three judges expressed their satisfaction with the high level of the young participants and their potential to become successful politicians. Roman Zykov noted the constructive nature of the competition, while Dmitry Filippov praised the absence of personal attacks or negativity.
The event was organised to foster political engagement and develop debating skills among youth aligned with the values and goals of the Young Guard of United Russia. The competition was likely structured to select representatives who could progress to further stages of the nomination or the federal-level debates.
In the end, Egor Davlyatshin from Perm Krai, Alexandra Ishutova from Tatarstan, and Nikolai Kulikov from the Samara Region emerged as the winners. They will represent their regions and the Volga Federal District at the federal forum in "Gvardiysk".
