Florida State University Mass Shooting Leaves 2 Dead, 6 Injured

A mass shooting at Florida State University has left two dead and six injured, sparking calls for action to improve student safety and reduce gun violence. This is the 9th such incident in Florida and the 98th in the US in 2025 alone.

The incident began at around 11:56 am EST on April 15, 2025, causing panic and fear among students, faculty, and bystanders. It lasted for four minutes, a terrifying ordeal that has once again brought the issue of gun violence to the forefront. Katherine Fivgas, an editor involved with Strike Magazine at the University of Georgia's Strike Chapter, has expressed solidarity with those affected. Founded in Tallahassee, Strike Magazine provides an outlet for young adults to express themselves during difficult times like these.
