Foundation in Eutin was the initial collaborator of the given project
In the picturesque town of Eutin, the LebensArt fair was a bustling hub of activity, showcasing a variety of educational and cultural initiatives. One of the highlights was the education and culture project "Eutiner Köpfe," which was displayed at the opera barn throughout the fair.
The "Eutiner Köpfe" project aims to celebrate 20 personalities who were born in or worked in Eutin, with the hope that they will be admired in a future tour, either in person or virtually.
Meanwhile, in the legendary kitchen garden, the team of "Erlebnis Küchengarden" actively supported the garden for three days during the fair. Visitors, including children and parents, had the opportunity to participate in making herb salt, a popular activity that peaked on Sunday, as it provided an ideal Mother's Day gift-making opportunity for children.
The process of making herb salt was simple yet enjoyable, with participants grinding fresh herbs with coarse salt in mortars. The herb salt could be used to make delicious herb butter for grilled steaks, according to Ingrid Berger from the board of the regional civic foundation.
The Eutin Civic Foundation, a first-time partner at the fair, reported a high response from visitors. Hans-Ingo Gerwanski, another board member, expressed his satisfaction, stating that the response was exceptionally high. The producing children, mothers receiving gifts, and fathers were all happy, Berger added.
The Eutin Civic Foundation currently has 100 volunteers, and they are seeking more volunteers for the MENTOR reading project. This project aims to support children in learning to read. Interested parties can contact [email protected] by email for more information.
On Saturday, Angelika Weppler and Christina Pophal were available to answer questions about becoming a reading mentor. For those who wish to get involved, a structured process is typically followed. This includes researching the program, checking eligibility criteria, applying, undergoing training sessions, passing background checks, committing to regular meetings, and maintaining open communication.
Overall, the LebensArt fair in Eutin was a success, with children, parents, and visitors enjoying the activities and learning new skills. Whether it was making herb salt or considering becoming a reading mentor, there was something for everyone at this vibrant fair.
The Eutin Civic Foundation, a new partner at the LebensArt fair, not only showcased their legendary kitchen garden but also promoted the MENTOR reading project, an education initiative aimed at supporting children in learning to read. On the other hand, the home-and-garden area provided a hands-on herb salt-making activity that was part of the 'Erlebnis Küchengarden' project, contributing to the diverse lifestyle offerings at the fair.
