Brandenburg Ministry of Culture Announces 2022 Work Package Scholarship Recipients
The Brandenburg Ministry of Culture has announced the ten artists who will receive financial support through the Work Package Scholarships (Arbeitsstipendien) for their continued work in literature, music, visual, and performing arts. This marks the seventh time the ministry has supported ten artists in this way.
The scholarships, which range from 2 to 6 months in duration, provide a monthly grant of approximately €1,500 to help artists focus on their creative projects without needing additional employment during the grant period. The selection process did not involve any repetition from previous years, with the artists being chosen from a total of 182 applications. The recipients of the scholarships work in a variety of fields, including dance performances, artist's books, and novels. The selection of the artists was made by expert juries appointed by Culture Minister Manja Schüle (SPD).
