ICMS Granted Self-Accrediting Authority After 13-Year Effort

The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) has reached a significant milestone. After a 13-year effort, the institution has been granted Self-Accrediting Authority (SAA) status by TEQSA. This achievement strengthens ICMS's reputation and brings it closer to formal recognition as a University College.

ICMS is now the third provider in Australia to receive SAA status for management and commerce, and the only provider for food and hospitality. This recognition is a result of the hard work by ICMS's Academic and Quality Assurance teams, as well as years of contributions from staff.

Founded by Darryl Courtney-O'Connor, ICMS specializes in management and leadership education. It offers industry-focused degrees to over 2,000 students from more than 50 countries. The institution operates campuses in Sydney's CBD and on the Northern Beaches, fostering strong local community ties. ICMS offers postgraduate programs, pathway courses, and Study Abroad options, supported by over 1,000 industry partners and a focus on the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SoLT).

With SAA status, ICMS can now accredit its own courses in management, commerce, and hospitality. President Rowan Courtney-O'Connor described this achievement as a major milestone, positioning ICMS closer to achieving formal recognition as a University College.
