Inhabitants' concerns over potential gas leak persist, prompting local authorities to investigate further on December 6, 2021

Park University continues to excel in multiple areas, with regional rankings placing it among the top 5 institutions for various categories, including Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for Supply Chain Management and Top Schools for an Associate in Psychology in the Plains States Region.

In addition to its academic success, Park University has announced a series of upcoming events, including a student art exhibit, International Sash Ceremony, Kansas City Area December Commencement, and Frank Hamilton Photography Art Exhibit. The campus is also home to an art exhibit featuring chairs created by interior design students, on display in the Campanella Gallery located within Norrington Center on the Parkville (Mo.) Campus.

Sports achievements have also been a highlight, with Nada Meawad, a member of Park University's Parkville (Mo.) Campus women's volleyball team, named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Attacker of the Year. Three members of the Gilbert Campus women's volleyball team earned California Pacific Conference first team all-conference honors, and Sophomore Nicklaus Sullivan, a member of the Gilbert Campus men's soccer team, was named the California Pacific Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

Park University's undergraduate research journal, The Navigator, is currently accepting submissions for its next volume. The journal provides a platform for students to showcase their original research and creative projects.

In administrative news, Yira Brimage has been appointed as the vice president of Park University's Gilbert (Ariz.) Campus, effective Nov. 15. Brimage, who previously served as vice president of student affairs and engagement at Pima Community College's downtown campus in Tucson, will now lead the strategic growth and operations of the campus.

Park University's online programmes have also received recognition, with CollegeFactual.com ranking it as the Most Popular Online Child Development and Psychology Schools and the Most Popular Bachelor's Degree Online Child Development and Psychology Schools.

The University has also been recognised for its contributions to the community, with the Kansas City Chiefs awarding Alaric Deeds a $10,000 Gold Star Memorial Scholarship. Park University alumni have also made significant strides, such as Shannon McPherson, '08, who was featured in the Fulton (Mo.) Sun as part of the newspaper's "Kith and Kin" column.
