Institute selects former IIM Lucknow head, Prof. Archana Shukla, as new director.
Prof. Archana Shukla has been appointed as the new Director of the Hari Shankar Singhania School of Business (HSB) at JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) in Jaipur, effective August 1, 2025.
The Hari Shankar Singhania School of Business is a part of JK Lakshmipat University, a 12-year-old private university with a 30-acre campus in Jaipur. The school was founded in 2024 by the JK Organisation.
Prof. Shukla, an IIT Kanpur alumna with a PhD in Psychology, specializing in organizational behaviour and knowledge management, brings over 30 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership to her new role. She has served as Director of IIM Lucknow for six years and as the Dean of IIM Lucknow Noida Campus for over three years.
As Director, Prof. Shukla will lead HSB’s flagship two-year UGC-accredited residential MBA program, which offers specializations in digital product management, artificial intelligence and business analytics, and entrepreneurship and organizational foresight. The school is committed to developing leaders who can navigate rapid technological change and global disruptions with agility and foresight.
Shri B.H. Singhania, Chancellor of JK Lakshmipat University, has warmly welcomed the appointment of Prof. Shukla, stating that her appointment is a significant step to advance HSB’s mission to blend academic rigour with real-world relevance and nurture global business leaders.
Prof. Shukla has designed and delivered management development programs on leadership, strategic thinking, team building, and managerial effectiveness. She has also contributed to culture building, coaching, mentoring, and assessment centers for prominent organizations such as KPMG, Mahindra & Mahindra, Samsung, Reckitt Benckiser, Johnson & Johnson, and the GMR Group.
Her remarkable track record at IIM Lucknow is expected to be instrumental in nurturing global business leaders at HSB. Prof. Shukla was the first chairperson of the Dr. Ishwar Dayal Chair for Futuristic Issues in the Behavioral Sciences from 2015 to 2017.
JK Lakshmipat University currently has approximately 1000 students on campus across its UG Programmes in Computer Sciences, Design, and Business. The HSB is approved by UGC and accredited by NAAC.
Prof. Shukla expressed enthusiasm about joining HSB at an important phase aligned with the demands of a rapidly evolving global business landscape, aiming to elevate HSB’s impact internationally. Her expertise in organizational behaviour is expected to be beneficial for shaping tomorrow’s enterprises at HSB.
Shri B.H. Singhania believes that Prof. Shukla’s appointment will advance HSB’s mission of blending academic rigor with real-world relevance. The Hari Shankar Singhania School of Business was launched by the JK Organisation in October 2023 under the aegis of JK Lakshmipat University.
