Zain Jordan's "Zain Al-Mubadara" Program and ZINC (Zain Innovation Campus) Boost Local Startups and Innovation

The Zain Al-Mubadara program and ZINC (Zain Innovation Campus) are key initiatives by Zain Jordan that are transforming the local startup landscape in Jordan.

The Zain Al-Mubadara program is an annual event designed to support young entrepreneurs and Jordanian startups. It provides financial backing, in the form of 15,000 JOD, and a year of operational support, including accounting services, to promising startups like the AI-based ed-tech company, UNIFLIX [1][2]. This program is instrumental in nurturing entrepreneurship, equipping startups with the necessary resources to scale their businesses and innovate.

On the other hand, ZINC (Zain Innovation Campus) serves as a physical and collaborative hub that accelerates tech entrepreneurship. While specific details are limited, ZINC offers mentorship, training, and access to Zain’s network, enabling startups to thrive in a competitive ecosystem.

Together, these initiatives significantly impact the local innovation landscape by:

  • Providing financial backing to promising startups.
  • Delivering technical and business support that empowers entrepreneurs.
  • Enhancing Jordan’s digital economy and contributing to the country’s technological advancement.
  • Facilitating partnerships and collaborations in digital services, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and financial technologies through programs like “Zain Business” and “Zain Cash,” further supporting the startup ecosystem and digital transformation across sectors [2].

The agreement for this support and funding was signed by Zain Jordan's CEO, Fahad Al Jasem, and the founder of the UNIFLIX project, Osama Awadallah, at ZINC's main branch located in King Hussein Business Park in Amman.

Over the years, these initiatives have benefited 253 Jordanian startups across various sectors, contributing to the creation of new job opportunities and strengthening the national economy. UNIFLIX, an AI-powered educational platform, is one such example. It focuses on developing students' professional skills, enhancing their time management and decision-making capabilities [3].

Zain's initiatives aim to foster innovation, build an integrated digital ecosystem, and contribute to the acceleration of digital transformation. They also aim to enrich the local market with emerging projects across modern sectors aligned with evolving market demands [4]. In essence, these initiatives are turning ideas into tangible projects with a positive impact on the national economy.
