IRCC Issues 511 ITAs in Latest Express Entry Draw, Focuses on PNP Candidates

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held another Express Entry draw on March 12, 2025. This draw was open to candidates who had submitted an Express Entry profile before 10:35 p.m. UTC on March 4, 2025. So far this year, IRCC has issued 33,940 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through Express Entry.

Today's draw is the third Express Entry draw of the month, following category-based draws on May 1 and 2 for candidates in the education and healthcare and social services categories, respectively. This draw issued 511 ITAs to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. In 2025, IRCC has conducted 9 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws, 5 French-language proficiency draws, 4 healthcare and social services draws, 2 education draws, and 1 trade draw.

The main source countries of candidates applying through Canada's Express Entry system are India, China, the Philippines, Nigeria, and Pakistan. To be considered in this draw, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 706.

This year, Express Entry draws have primarily focused on PNP candidates, with 18 PNP draws conducted so far. IRCC has issued a total of 33,940 ITAs through Express Entry in 2025, providing many candidates with the opportunity to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
