Kazakhstan's Teachers Report Record Job Satisfaction and Improved Conditions

Kazakhstan's education sector has witnessed notable enhancements, with educators reporting higher job satisfaction and improved working conditions. The average age of educators has decreased to 41 years, four years below the OECD average. This positive shift is evident in the TALIS 2024 survey, which involved over 7,000 educators and 369 school directors.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's initiatives have driven these changes. The average weekly workload for Kazakhstani educators has reduced to 36 hours, a significant decrease from 50 hours in 2018. Educators now spend less time on administrative tasks, allowing more time for teaching and interacting with parents.

The TALIS 2024 survey indicates a significant increase in job satisfaction and working conditions. An impressive 95% of Kazakhstani educators express satisfaction with their work, and 80% would choose teaching again. These positive results suggest a brighter future for Kazakhstan's education sector and its educators.

The decrease in average age and workload, coupled with increased job satisfaction, signals a robust improvement in Kazakhstan's education system. President Tokayev's measures have enhanced the status of educators, with positive changes expected to continue.
