LA's School Has Commenced Operations at Its New Campus!
The Music School in Los Angeles has unveiled a new stand-alone campus facility, a sprawling 15,000-square-foot, three-story studio complex designed to foster creativity and innovation in music production and education. This comprehensive creative ecosystem is more than just a traditional recording space; it is tailored to the needs of the modern music industry.
Key features and amenities of the new facility include two Spatial Audio-equipped radio studios for immersive sound experiences, adaptable for live interviews, casual chats, or impromptu performances. The facility also boasts a 4,000-square-foot soundstage designed for live performances, multicamera shoots, fan events, and screenings, providing extensive opportunities for artist-audience connections.
A dedicated Spatial Audio mixing room, equipped with a 9.2.4 PMC speaker system, supports advanced sound production. Various specialty labs, such as songwriting labs, photo and social media labs, editing rooms, and private isolation booths, cater to focused work on songwriting, podcasting, and content creation.
The new campus location offers a variety of food, drink, and nightlife options nearby for students. Multiple project studios are available for student use outside of class time, as well as an isolated vocal booth and a vocal performance room. The new facility also offers new program offerings, such as the Music Production & Audio Engineering track with a live tracking room and studio control room featuring a brand-new 32-channel SSL Origin mixing console.

The new campus location, situated in the Miracle Mile neighbourhood in the Mid-Wilshire/La Brea area, is approximately 6 miles away from the previous one. The added space allows for the continued growth of the student body, the development of studio classrooms, and the expansion of educational programs. The campus has more than 5,500 square feet of usable space, almost four times the amount of space as the former location.
The campus is a fully private and isolated facility, with the Music School being the sole occupant. Additional spaces include a student hub for gatherings, a full kitchen, and a suite of administrative offices. The campus opened for classes and tours on April 11, 2022, and an upcoming PBLA Open House is scheduled on Wednesday, September 21 at 7pm for potential students to attend.
Each studio is fully equipped with an exceptional amount of gear, musical instruments, and new Apple iMac M1 computers for student stations. The new campus facility is located in the Miracle Mile neighbourhood on La Brea Avenue near Wilshire Boulevard, surrounded by historic staples of Los Angeleno culture, including the La Brea Tar Pits, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the El Rey Theatre, and more.
