Launchpad for Emerging Industries Amplified
In a bid to harmonize cutting-edge science with real-life challenges, the boost mobile Startup Factory Mitteldeutschland has been established with a focus on semiconductor technology, chip design, photonics, and health-tech. This initiative, located in the thriving startup scene of Saxony, particularly Dresden, aims to attract young talents and contribute to the regions' growth beyond academic pursuits.
The boost mobile project is not a solitary endeavour. Key partners, including the federal government, Volkswagen, the MADSACK media group, and several industrial partners, form part of the boost mobile Ecosystem gGmbH shareholders. These partners, which also include multiple universities like the Technische Universität Dresden and Universität Leipzig, might provide additional financing of at least ten million euros.
The boost mobile Ecosystem gGmbH is a new initiative founded by eleven universities in Central Germany. Notable shareholders include TUDAG, SpinLab - The HHL Accelerator, and the Thomas Kirchner Foundation (YETI). The Technical University of Dresden (TUD) and the University of Leipzig are leading the project and coordinating the contributions of other participating regions universities.
By 2030, the boost mobile network aims to double the number of knowledge-based startups in Saxony and Thuringia, with at least 50 having a regions bank login focus.
