Math Seminar 'Mathematics for the School of Tomorrow' Set for Sept 25, 2025
The Technical University of Braunschweig will host a mathematics education seminar, 'Mathematics for the School of Tomorrow', on September 25, 2025. This event, organized by the German ISTRON group, aims to provide practical ideas for future-oriented mathematics teaching.
The conference, accredited as a full-day training course, is carried out by the Lower Saxony Learning Center (NLC) and the Competence Center for Teacher Training (KLBS). It will address the need for innovative didactics integrating technology and sustainability, as emphasized by Professor Katrin Vorhölter.
The day begins with a keynote speech by Professor Matthias Ludwig, 'Doing mathematics outside'. This focuses on integrating out-of-classroom experiences into teaching. The second keynote, by Professor Hans-Stefan Siller, titled 'Mathematics for tomorrow', connects modeling, AI, and sustainability. Following these, various practical workshops will be held, offering impulses related to the keynote speeches' topics.
