The latest project, a renovation and expansion of the Theodor-Fliedner School in Lank-Latum, began with a groundbreaking ceremony on September 17. The project, part of a larger 140 million euro program, has a budget of around eleven million euros.

The expansion aims to be completed by the end of 2026. It will provide more space and a modern layout, including a new foyer and a large dining area that can accommodate around 300 children, teachers, and support staff. The project is part of Mayor Christian Bommers' plan to renovate and modernize Meerbusch's school infrastructure. Despite the significant investment, the name of the architect or architectural group responsible for the new construction and modernization has not been disclosed.

The expansion and renovation of the Theodor-Fliedner School is set to transform the learning environment for its students and staff. With a completion date of 2026, the project is a significant step in the city's larger school modernization program.
