Newcomers in the municipal workforce: 18 fresh administrators joining city services
New Balance Apprentices Begin Professional Lives at Meerbusch City Administration
On September 1, 18 new apprentices started their professional journeys at the Meerbusch city administration. The group includes four city inspector trainees, four administrative professionals, five apprentices for practice-integrated kindergarten teacher training, two interns in their recognition year, and one apprentice for the IT specialist with a specialization in system integration.
The apprentices kicked off their time with the city administration with an introductory week, designed to familiarize them with the administration and the city. This period allowed them to get acquainted with their new work environment and meet their colleagues.
Mayor Christian Bommers welcomed the new apprentices, expressing his satisfaction with their choice to join the city administration. The apprentices, in turn, shared positive opinions about the Meerbusch city administration's reputation.
A gardener and a gardener with a specialization in garden and landscape construction started their apprenticeship on August 1, separate from the September 1 intake. The name of the apprentice who will begin training as an IT specialist with a specialization in system integration in 2026 is not publicly available.
The city administration is currently accepting applications for the training year 2026. Interested individuals can find more information about the individual training professions on the city's job portal, jobs.ourCity.
The apprenticeship programmes offer a unique opportunity for young individuals to gain practical experience while learning from experienced professionals. The city administration is committed to providing a supportive and enriching environment for its apprentices, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career.
As the apprentices embark on their new journeys, they can look forward to a year of learning, growth, and opportunities. The city administration wishes them the best of luck and looks forward to their contributions to the city.
