NOUN Hosts 3rd MoodleMoot Africa 2025 in Abuja
The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is set to host the 3rd MoodleMoot Africa 2025 conference in Abuja from October 8 to 10. This event, themed 'Leveraging the power of disruptive technologies for Africa's transformation', is a testament to NOUN's leadership in Open and Distance Learning (ODL).
This is the first MoodleMoot Africa conference to be held in Nigeria, following previous events in South Africa. NOUN's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, aims to use this platform to boost the institution's digital ranking and strengthen its position in education technology. NOUN's Moodle-based system already serves over 170,000 students with advanced learning analytics and hybrid delivery models.
Key goals for NOUN at the MoodleMoot include enhancing its institutional digital ranking and positioning itself as a policy influencer in Africa's EdTech space. The conference website provides detailed information about the event. NOUN expects participants from 24 countries, spanning Africa, Europe, and beyond.
The 3rd MoodleMoot Africa 2025 conference in Abuja promises to be one of the best events organized by NOUN. With its focus on disruptive technologies and the expected international attendance, it is set to make a significant impact on Africa's educational landscape.
