NRW Police Launches Dual Study Program for Career Changers

The NRW police is inviting applications for its dual study program, starting September 1, 2026. The program is open to career changers, dropouts, and those with relevant work experience, offering a pathway into the higher police service with a focus on 'Operations'.

Applicants must have Abitur or full Fachhochschulreife and can apply online until October 8, 2025. Nicole Schüttauf, the personnel recruiter at Bochum's police headquarters, will be present at an information evening on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the employment agency's customer center to discuss the 'FOS Police' course and the dual study program. Captain Julia Schroeder, the personnel deployment manager, will also be speaking at the event. Those interested can experience the police profession firsthand on the following Thursday.
