In Kazakhstan, the pre-school preparation program "Balakaylar Mektebi" is being launched for the second consecutive year during the summer holidays. This initiative aims to support children as they prepare for their first year of primary school.

Last summer, approximately 25,000 children took part in the program over two months. This year, the number of participants is set to increase significantly, with short-term pre-school preparation courses covering nearly 90,000 children. This includes the children who participated in the program last year, bringing the total number of children to approximately 65,200.

The program places a special emphasis on developing physical, communicative, intellectual, creative, and socio-emotional skills. It aligns with the state compulsory standard for pre-school education and ensures continuity between pre-school and primary school.

The courses are taught by qualified primary school teachers or pre-school group educators. The program duration is one month, with daily 30-minute lessons and 10-minute breaks.

The Ministry of Education and Science in Kazakhstan has emphasized that "Balakaylar Mektebi" is available to children who have not attended kindergarten. In line with this, it is planned to organize around 5,300 more groups for the program, reaching approximately 5,300 additional children.

The expansion of the program aims to cover a larger number of children who may have missed out on kindergarten. The ministry emphasizes the importance of fostering a positive attitude towards school learning and ensuring that every child has an equal opportunity to succeed in their educational journey.

Director of the Department of Pre-School Education of the Ministry of Education and Science in Kazakhstan, Manar Adamova, made this statement. She expressed her enthusiasm for the program's growth and its potential impact on the children's lives.

In summary, the "Balakaylar Mektebi" pre-school preparation program in Kazakhstan is an essential initiative that helps prepare children for their first year of primary school. This summer, over 90,000 children will participate in the program, with a focus on inclusivity for children who have not attended kindergarten.

The "Balakaylar Mektebi" pre-school preparation program in Kazakhstan is not exclusive to those who have previously attended kindergarten, as the Ministry of Education and Science plans to organize additional groups for children who have missed out on kindergarten. This education-and-self-development initiative aims to ensure equal opportunities for every child, focusing on learning essential skills for a smooth transition to their first year of primary school.
