In the small town of Bispingen, the popular kindergarten "Heideknirpse" is facing a potential three-month closure starting in October. The staff shortage arose unexpectedly when a kindergarten teacher resigned, leaving only six weeks' notice instead of the usual ten.

The kindergarten currently has a team consisting of two kindergarten teachers and one social pedagogical assistant. However, with the departure of one teacher, the team is now incomplete. The DRK district association is making every effort to find a replacement quickly to avoid temporary closure.

The municipality of Bispingen is also involved in the efforts to solve the staffing issue. In a bid to keep the community informed, the DRK as the carrier of the kindergarten has been providing a weekly newsletter, free of charge, to update parents directly about the staff situation.

The Heidekreis newsletter is a clear and easy-to-understand summary of local news. Subscribing to the newsletter requires just one click, and subscribers receive carefully selected articles without information overload. The newsletter is delivered directly to subscribers' mailboxes, ensuring they stay up-to-date with local highlights.

In the interim, the kindergarten is being led temporarily by Susanne Hagel, the leader of the "Sonnenblume" kindergarten. A successor for the "Heideknirpse" has already been hired, but they will not take over until they have been adequately trained.

Despite the challenging conditions, the employment conditions for kindergarten staff at "Heideknirpse" are better than commonly assumed. The new staff members can expect over 3000 euros gross per month and 33 days of vacation. The kindergarten has only one group in the elementary area, with 20 places available and currently 15 children enrolled.

The DRK is committed to finding a solution to the staff shortage and ensuring the smooth running of the kindergarten. For those interested in staying informed about the developments, subscribing to the newsletter is a quick and easy way to stay connected.
