Police in Münster commence fourth year of the "Vocational School for Law Enforcement" training program
In a vibrant gathering at the Aula of the Landesamt für Fortbildung, Ausbildung und Personalangelegenheiten (LAFP) in Münster, Police President Alexandra Dorndorf welcomed the fourth and largest class of the "Fachoberschule Polizei" course. This year, 58 students, 24 female and 35 male, are embarking on a two-year dual course of study in close cooperation with the Hansa-Berufskolleg.
The application period for the FOS class 2026/2027 is now open, running from February 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025. Young people with a medium school leaving certificate can now obtain the "Fachabitur Polizei" since 2022.
The event, which took place on Wednesday morning, August 27, at 10 Uhr, at Weseler Straße 23, was filled with excitement as Alexandra Dorndorf encouraged the students to believe in themselves, bring in their strengths, stay curious, and brave, and be a role model for society. She promised them exciting career paths ahead.
Ute Berkemeier, headmaster of the Hansa-Berufskolleg Münster, shared her enthusiasm for the 'FOS Polizei', considering it an absolute success model. An entertaining program consisting of various videos, interviews, and a police rap was presented to introduce the training leadership and Hansa-Berufskolleg to the students.

The course provides a comprehensive overview of the police and the diverse career opportunities available in a police authority. A crisp interview with students from class 11 provided all participants with a very authentic insight into what the students can look forward to from now on.
