Police Launch 'AnsprechBAR' Dialogue Series for Students on Digital Crime & More
The police in Recklinghausen and Bottrop are launching an innovative dialogue series, 'AnsprechBAR', tailored for students. The series, which runs from September 18 to October 2, 2025, aims to engage young people in discussions about digital crime, violence, radicalization, and media literacy in a modern, interactive format.
Kicking off on September 18, 2025, at the Paul-Spiegel-Berufskolleg in Dorsten, the series will then travel to various schools across the district and city. Other scheduled stops include the Berufskolleg Bottrop on September 23, 2025, and schools in Haltern am See, Marl, Gladbeck, and Recklinghausen throughout late September and early October.
The police will use an Airstream trailer and interactive formats to create a relaxed atmosphere, moving away from traditional lectures. Topics to be discussed include online dangers, knife violence, radicalization, and civil courage. Media representatives are welcome to attend the events, and a press contact is provided for further information.
The 'AnsprechBAR' dialogue series is a novel approach by the police to engage with young people, fostering trust and understanding while educating them about crucial issues. The series is set to visit several schools in Recklinghausen and Bottrop until early October, with the kickoff event taking place on September 18, 2025.
