Project Manager (m/f/d) for Transportation Infrastructure and Road Development (Sector TVÖD 12)
The city of Nordhorn has announced a permanent, full-time position for a Team Leader (m/f/d) in the Traffic Planning/Street Construction Department. The job posting, published by the city administration on September 18, 2025, invites qualified individuals to apply.
The successful candidate will lead a team of 8 employees, responsible for preparing documents for municipal committees and engineering contracts, as well as participating in or processing planning approval procedures and land use planning procedures.
Applicants should possess strong teamwork skills, initiative, organisational and negotiation skills, assertiveness, and excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. A completed degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Traffic Planning/Street Construction or a comparable field of study with several years of professional experience is required.
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technical regulations and standards, as well as good computer skills (MS-Office, GIS) is necessary. Knowledge of the tendering program ORCA and the specialist software Vestra is desirable.
The Team Leader will independently develop construction-ready designs for streets and traffic nodes, including infrastructure concepts for new business and construction areas. They will also coordinate and monitor engineering firms and manage all necessary coordination with external parties involved in the measures, such as utility providers.
The position offers a salary system with automatic step advancement, a friendly working atmosphere, and remuneration according to salary group 12 TVöD. The Team Leader will also enjoy a generous vacation allowance of 30 days per calendar year in a 5-day week.
