Refrigeration technology training center launched in Romania with DAAS Epta's 0.5 million euro investment

DAAS Epta Romania, a powerhouse within the global Epta group, is about to unleash the country's first Training Center for refrigeration technicians with a whopping EUR 500,000 investment. Along with this sweet news, they're revving up the expansion of their Remote Monitoring Service Center, or TLM!
This Training Center, dreamt up based on the Epta academies in Italy and Germany, is scheduled for completion come September 2025, right inside the heart of Ploiești - their headquarters. This bad boy aims to fill the gaping hole in the training sphere for the refrigeration systems sector.
The Training Center has some snazzy features, like hands-on courses using cutting-edge equipment such as functional refrigeration systems with natural refrigerants, electrical panels, heat pumps, and top-of-the-line display cases. The setup is also jam-packed with a showroom dedicated to Epta tech, a training room for inexperienced tech enthusiasts, and rooms for book learning. The icing on the cake? Embracing the future with virtual reality and artificial intelligence built right into the training sessions!
So who gets to reap the benefits of this education goldmine? Anyone who's anyone - DAAS Epta employees and partners, high schoolers, uni students eyeing a career in a boomin' industry, and local apprentices.
Expect to see classes for apprentices in collaboration with the "Elie Radu" High School in Ploiești, tech presentations at universities, and strategic partnerships with international equipment manufacturers, as well as the Romanian Association of Refrigeration Technicians.
According to Daniel Mocanu, CEO of DAAS Epta Romania, "We're staring down the barrel of a massive shortage of qualified refrigeration technicians, as the industry's on a tear due to European regulations on emissions and the green transition. This training center is our way of stepping up to train the next gen of experts. Our double aim: elevate our in-house know-how and establish ourselves as the go-to for the entire Romanian refrigeration sector."
By the end of 2025, DAAS Epta Romania also plans to double its monitored stores, targeting 3,000 active locations across Romania and beyond in Europe, Latin America, or Asia-Pacific. They're banking on their own homegrown platform - GAM (Global Alarm Management) - to unite clients' monitoring systems with Epta data platforms and Salesforce CRM in a mind-blowin' synergy!
Founded way back in 1993, DAAS Epta Romania's been stockin' their toolbox with 30 years of integrated commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and food service solutions. They've been a part of the Epta Group since 2015.
