In an effort to promote children's health, self-confidence, and healthy lifestyles, AOK Bavaria is set to support over 2,000 elementary school classes through the Klasse2000 school program. This preventive measure, sponsored by AOK in the Ingolstadt region, is a child-friendly health promotion initiative designed to support children's health and well-being.

From September 18 to October 17, all elementary schools in the Free State can apply for the scholarship. The program, which is actively integrated into the curriculum and daily school life, covers topics such as healthy eating, physical activities, relaxation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

Rainer Stegmayr, Market and Health Team Leader at AOK Ingolstadt, emphasizes the importance of teaching children about health from an early age. The scholarship offered by AOK Bavaria covers the deployment of a health promoter for each class, with up to two additional classes per elementary school also supported.

The program extends from the first to the fourth grade, and the sponsorship will cover costs per class and school year for a four-year scholarship. The scholarship also includes access to the interactive learning website Klaro-Labor for children and their parents.

Specially trained Klasse2000 health promoters support teachers in approximately 15 lessons per grade level. The program focuses on showing children what they can do to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

AOK Bavaria, as the largest individual sponsor in Bavaria, stands behind the Klasse2000 program, which aims to promote children's health, self-confidence, and healthy lifestyle. However, there are no publicly available details about which schools in Bavaria receive Klasse2000 program scholarships for the 2023/24 school year that are not supported by AOK.

AOK Ingolstadt believes in the importance of children learning about health and self-confidence at an early age. The Klasse2000 program is a preventive measure to foster healthy habits among children, and it is a testament to AOK's commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the youngest members of our society.
