School board at Octorara makes administrative employment decisions, selecting three new individuals for positions.
The Octorara School District has made several notable appointments to its leadership team. Nicole Dean has been hired as the Chief of Human Resources Officer, with a contract running through June 2030. Her annual salary is $175,000. Joining her is Matthew Bristow, who has been appointed as the Director of Safety and Security. Bristow's salary is $95,000. Meanwhile, Michael Stabile has been appointed as the district's new Chief Financial Officer, also with a contract running through June 2030.
In other news, the school board has tabled action on a $19,000 charge to fix nonfunctioning school-zone flashing speed signs on Route 41. The next Octorara school board meeting will take place on October 13.
Annalisa Griffiths, the student representative to the board, has suggested a review of the meal plan for school lunches to identify areas for improvement. Seniors born between 1939 and 1969 may be eligible for 11 benefits this month if they apply.
