SpiNNcloud Unveils Game-Changing AI Platform SpiNNaker2

SpiNNcloud Systems, a DeepTech startup based in Dresden, has unveiled the commercial availability of its cutting-edge AI platform, SpiNNaker2. This groundbreaking system is set to revolutionise real-time artificial intelligence, with initial cloud solutions expected in late 2024 and full production systems in early 2025.

SpiNNaker2 is the brainchild of an international collaboration, involving the University of Manchester, ETH Zurich, and TU Dresden, along with the renowned Sandia National Laboratories. This high-performance AI computer is designed to mimic the human brain's principles, offering unparalleled energy efficiency and flexibility.

The platform's development was supported by a €2.5 million grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC). It was also part of the European Flagship Human Brain Project, a multi-billion-euro research initiative by the European Union. SpiNNaker2's unique architecture has been praised by Fred Rothganger from Sandia National Laboratories, who described it as 'the most flexible neural supercomputer architecture available today'.

SpiNNaker2, set to launch as a cloud platform solution in the second half of 2024, promises to be a game-changer in real-time AI. With its unmatched energy efficiency and flexibility, it's poised to make a significant impact, with the first users including the esteemed Sandia National Laboratories.
