Students Explore Careers Firsthand on 'Jobtour' During Summer Holidays
During the first week of summer holidays, 10 students from the 8th and 9th grades embarked on an educational journey called the 'Jobtour'. Organized by Angela Schedlbauer, the tour aimed to provide students with firsthand experiences and insights into various careers and industries.
The 'Jobtour' kicked off at Ergomar in Ergolding, where students were introduced to bathwater and sauna technology. They visited different departments, gaining practical knowledge. Later, the Employment Agency Landshut hosted the participants, explaining job placement processes, training opportunities, and support services.
Feistl Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology GmbH & Co. KG welcomed the students next. After a plant tour, they explored the company's business fields and learned about its history. SPIE SAG in Ergolding then offered insights into electrical installations and soldering processes. Meanwhile, Schott AG in Landshut demonstrated the assembly and soldering of an LED cube, among other stations. The tour concluded with a workshop on component assembly and a visit to a construction site.
The 'Jobtour' provided a unique opportunity for students to explore various careers and industries. Through hands-on experiences and informative sessions, they gained valuable insights into the working world. The tour concluded with a comprehensive understanding of different job roles and processes.
