Students Explore Industries During 'Jobtour' in Landshut District
During their summer holidays, ten students from Landshut district's middle and secondary schools participated in an engaging 'Jobtour'. The tour offered them a hands-on experience in various industries, including water technology, sauna technology, glass manufacturing, and electrical installations.
The tour kicked off at Ergomar in Ergolding, where students were introduced to water technology and sauna technology. They visited different departments and had the chance to try out various materials, tools, and techniques. The founder and current managing director of Ergomar, Günter Wagner, welcomed the students.
Next, the group headed to Feistl Lüftungs- und Klimatechnik GmbH & Co. KG. Here, they explored various business areas and learned about the company's history. The tour concluded with a 'Parts Assembly' workshop and a visit to a construction site, giving students a well-rounded experience of the industry.
At Schott AG in Landshut, students focused on glass manufacturing. They assembled an LED cube and learned about metallic coating processes. Meanwhile, at SPIE SAG in Ergolding, students gained insights into electrical installations and soldering processes.
The 'Jobtour' provided students with a unique opportunity to explore different industries and gain practical experience. By visiting Ergomar, Feistl, Schott AG, and SPIE SAG, the students were exposed to a variety of technologies and techniques, which will undoubtedly enrich their understanding of the working world.
