Summer Camp Destination for Kids of Yakutia Special Operation Personnel: Vladivostok

In the eastern city of Vladivostok, 560 children from families associated with a special military operation will spend their summer at the "Alye Parusa" camp. These children are among the 2733 that will partake in health-improving activities arranged by the Ministry of Education this year. The inaugural shift at the camp will commence on June 2 with 161 children attending.

According to Stepan Stepanov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Yakutia, two state contracts have been signed for 300 children's spots, and the procurement process for an additional 260 spots is underway. The remaining spots' results will be announced by May's end.

Arrangements are being made to transport children outside the republic, with 278 children set to travel by plane, and another 282 by train. The increase in state support for children of military personnel can be observed across Russian regions, with these programs often being part of broader patriotic education initiatives.

Since 2023, adjustments have been made to the process for providing camp spots, enabling vacations outside the region. Last year, 660 children from Yakutia visited camps in the Krasnodar region. Registration for summer camps began on May 15, and applications can be submitted through the state services portal or directly to the children's rest organization.

While specific details about the number of spots, their distribution, and year-on-year changes for 2023 are not found in current sources, there is a strong focus on patriotic programming for children in the region, as demonstrated by Yakutsk's large-scale public events promoting national support for ongoing military efforts.

The state contracts for education and self-development programs, such as summer camps, have been signed for 300 children's spots, with the procurement process underway for an additional 260 spots. Learning opportunities outside the republic are being arranged for children, supporting the broader patriotic education initiatives that can be observed across Russian regions.
