A total of 25 incredible individuals with disabilities recently completed a one-year social and vocational rehabilitation program at the Area Vocational Rehab Center (AVRC) II under DSWD Field Office 7 – Central Visayas.
The graduates showcased their skills in various trades, including 11 Massage Therapy specialists, 9 Commercial Cooking whizzes, 3 Basic Cosmetology artists, 1 Computer Technology marvel, and 1 Dressmaking prodigy.

Lucero expressed hope in connecting graduates with inclusive employers through partnerships. "We are proud to see all of you succeed and overcome the challenges. We are equally proud that you chose AVRC II to equip you with the skills that will open doors of opportunities and help you pursue your future goals," she stated.
Keynote Speaker Elizabeth M. Lopez of Banilad Center for Professional Development called upon the public to support the DSWD's efforts in raising awareness about the AVRC II and its role in empowering the PWD sector.
