Unemployment Rate Drops Slightly to 11.3% in Seasonal Boost

The unemployment rate has dropped slightly to 11.3%, marking a seasonal uptick, according to Sebastian Peine, the head of the employment agency. This decrease can be attributed to the usual seasonal trend, with around 19% more people finding jobs in September compared to August. Many young individuals started apprenticeships, contributing to this positive change. Additionally, language courses and further training programs that began in September also played a role. As participants enrolled in these programs, they were no longer counted as unemployed in the statistics. The slight decrease in unemployment to 11.3% is a positive sign, largely driven by seasonal factors and new apprenticeships. However, the overall unemployment rate remains high, and further efforts are needed to support job seekers.
