The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has taken significant steps towards addressing two pressing issues: the Tijuana River sewage crisis and the reduction of food waste.

In a move to resolve the longstanding Tijuana River sewage crisis, Administrator Zeldin has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mexico. This agreement marks a crucial step towards a permanent resolution of the issue, ensuring cleaner water for both countries.

Meanwhile, the EPA has launched a new national initiative called Feed It Onward. This initiative is aimed at reducing food waste and improving food security across America. The Feed It Onward initiative focuses on remediating contaminated sites and improving the process of water getting to a drinking water tap, thereby improving human health and the environment for all Americans.

The EPA is also taking action to protect water quality. For instance, the agency has halted chemical discharge in the South River and prioritized the review of new chemicals used in data center projects.

In addition to these efforts, the EPA is providing valuable resources to the public. A series of webinars hosted by the agency offers basic information about drinking water safety, the process of water getting to a drinking water tap, and details about different types of public water systems. These webinars are particularly useful for applicants for, or managers of, EPA grants.

The Feed It Onward initiative is part of a broader effort to protect public health, the environment, and restore the American economy. By addressing food waste and improving food security, the initiative supports American manufacturing and technological advancement, and contributes to a more sustainable future for all.

The Tijuana River sewage crisis resolution and the Feed It Onward initiative are clear examples of the EPA's commitment to protecting the environment, ensuring public health, and supporting American economic growth.
