Jayme Uden, a seasoned education professional with over two decades of experience in student affairs, is set to take on a new role at Park University. From March 18, 2024, Uden will serve as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), overseeing a wide range of human resources strategies.

Uden's academic journey began at the University of Kansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He later pursued higher education, obtaining a Master of Education degree in higher education from Iowa State University and a Doctor of Education degree in the same field from the University of Kansas.

Uden's career in higher education started at Kansas State University, where he served as a residence life coordinator from 2003 to 2006. After a brief stint, he moved to the University of Kansas, where he worked as an assistant director for residence life from 2006 to 2011.

Since July 2011, Uden has been a part of the Park University family, climbing the ranks in student affairs. He served as a member of the Northland (Kansas City, Mo.) Regional Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Northland class of 2013-14 and was later appointed as the associate vice president and dean of students at the university. In this role, he demonstrated his leadership and commitment to student welfare, a trait that will undoubtedly serve him well in his new position.

In his new role as CHRO, Uden will be responsible for strategic areas such as talent management, employee relations, training and development, performance improvement, compensation and benefits, organisational development, HR information systems, and regulatory compliance. His extensive experience and skills as a student affairs administrator will also assist him in facilitating employee engagement across the Park network.

Uden's involvement in collegiate student life organisations, including NASPA - Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, and his past role as the chair of the Missouri Student Affairs Council, are testament to his dedication to higher education and student affairs. Additionally, he has served as a board member of the Greater Kansas City Housing Information Center, further demonstrating his commitment to the community.
