Newcomer Dyloco Blends UK Garage and UK Alternative Rap in Anticipated Project
Dyloco, a rising star in the UK music scene, is set to release a thematic project that promises to blend UK Garage and UK Alternative rap in an exciting new sound. The artist, whose name is pronounced dyl-oh-koh, originates from South West London and now calls North East his home.
Dyloco completed his Music Business Diploma at the prestigious Point Blank Music School, a programme known for its industry-focused curriculum and expert teaching staff. The school, which offers various degrees and short courses in London, LA, Ibiza, and Online, is designed by active musicians and industry experts, providing comprehensive training tailored specifically for careers in the music industry.
The immersive and supportive environment at Point Blank Music School nurtured Dyloco's well-rounded music career by combining artistic training with industry knowledge and business acumen. This approach enabled him to gain expertise not only in music creation and production but also in understanding the business side of the music industry, such as contracts, copyright, streaming monetization, and entrepreneurship.
Currently, Dyloco is working on about 10 tracks, including a collaboration with Brazilian rapper OhLeow. He finds himself in a flow state when creating music and often draws inspiration from various sources, including other tracks, cafes, and day-to-day experiences.
Dyloco feels passionate about UK Music and believes London is the best place for emerging music. He has been using the school's facilities, including the studio and student area, for working on music and networking. His debut track, The State Of It All, was featured on BBC Radio London via BBC Introducing.
The artist's musical influences range from Joy Orbison, Four Tet, Burial, Massive Attack, Bonobo, CasIsDead, Nas, Andre 3000, Prodigy from Mobb Deep, Amy Winehouse, The Streets, Jim Legxacy, and Joe James. He also finds inspiration from a wide range of sources, including film, books, sounds, and day-to-day experiences.
Recently, Dyloco performed on DJ AG's set in Kings Cross, showcasing his unique blend of UK Garage and UK Alternative rap. He encourages students to reach out and back themselves when pursuing opportunities in the school's Recordings.
