Apple's AI system, Apple Intelligence, is set to expand its reach in April 2025 with the release of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4. Developers can already test out the new versions, providing early access to AI features for users within the EU. The tech giant is expanding its language support to include French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, in addition to localized English for India and Singapore.

The new language options will enhance user experiences, as Apple Intelligence is designed to provide helpful and relevant information while protecting user privacy.
Many of the AI models within the system run directly on the device, ensuring data protection and security, akin to an iPhone. For more complex queries that require external support, Private Cloud Compute is utilized, promising to bring the iPhone's security to the cloud.
In the coming months, Apple Intelligence plans to introduce additional features, such as further enhancements to Siri's capabilities and Natural Language Processing (NLP) integration. The recently launched Apple Vision Pro will also support the AI system, with initial support limited to US English. Apple's goal is to enable users to communicate, collaborate, and express themselves in novel ways through the VR headset.
By adding on-screen context awareness, Siri will be able to provide more personalized and pertinent responses based on user context. Enhanced Siri capabilities will deliver deeper per-app controls and more natural voice interactions, further improving the user experience. Other features include priority notifications and a return of the "Sketch" style for Image Playground app, among others. Some features like Siri's AI upgrades may not be available until the iOS 18.5 release.
