Updated Text for 2025-26 Mathematics Study Guide for Class 11(Revised) in PDF Format, Offered by NCERT
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced updates to the Class 11 Maths textbook for the 2024-25 academic year, aligning with the revised syllabus and the National Education Policy.
The changes include the rationalization of content, with some topics and exercises deleted to reduce overlap and difficulty. The revised chapters focus on clarity and fundamental concepts, covering core areas such as Sets, Relations and Functions, Trigonometric Functions, Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations, Linear Inequalities, Permutations and Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Sequences and Series, Straight Lines, Conic Sections, Introduction to Three-Dimensional Geometry, Limits and Derivatives, Statistics, Probability, and Answers.
Notably, several chapters have been removed from the NCERT Class 11 Maths Textbook, including Power Set, Union and Intersection of Two Sets, Trigonometric Equations, Principle of Mathematical Induction, Polar Representation of a Complex Number, Quadratic Equation, Square-root of a Complex Number, Graphical Solution of Linear Inequalities in Two Variables, System of Linear Inequalities in Two Variables, General Middle Terms, Arithmetic Progression, Sum to n terms of Special Series, Collinearity of Three Points, Normal Forms, General Equation of a Line, Equation of Family of Lines Passing Through the Points of Intersection of Two Lines, Shifting of Origin, Special Cases of an Ellipse, Section Formula, Analysis of Frequency Distribution, and Introduction.
The textbooks no longer include exercises and examples related to the dropped topics. The 2024-25 examination will be based on the latest syllabus, and students are advised to use the newly released NCERT textbooks to prepare for the exam.
